About ChazCollectables
My name is Charlie, and I run ChazCollectables, an indepedent Pokémon TCG store built by an actual collector. I’ve been a lifelong fan of pokémon leading back to when started playing pokémon games on the DS and watching the anime when I was about 6 years old. As I got older I dabbled in the DS games still but largely lost interest in with the introduction of the Switch games because they just didn’t have that same feel to them. A friend introduced me to the TCG in around 2020 so I started playing with pre-made decks and enjoyed the game, eventually I started collecting cards around a year later.
Like everyone else I had a massive wishlist of cards I wanted but simply couldn’t afford to rip loads of packs with the hope of hitting them or buying them all online so I started selling my extra singles on eBay so I could buy the cards I really wanted. Over time browsing local facebook groups and such, I had the opportunity to buy collections. With these collections I’d only want to keep around 50% of the cards in them so I sold the rest, bought a new collection, and repeat. This then slowly started scaling to the point I had hundreds of listings on eBay and was selling quite regularly and shipping orders most days. I absolutely love the process and get to be surrounded by my passion in order to fund it. As my collection grew, I was buying lots and lots of singles from various sites and platforms. The one thing I noticed was that the conditions were extremely variable between individuals and I had many bad experiences with seller packaging cards terribly which ultimately resulted in me receiving damaged cards. Now to most sellers I understand that protecting my £2 regular ex card isn’t exactly a top priority but to me it meant something and I wanted it to be as pristine as possible for my collection/deck. As such I wanted to ensure that when I was selling I didn’t pass on this experience to my buyers.
The goal then became to become independent. All throughout my journey of creating ChazCollectables, my mission hasn’t changed: make it easy for collectors to shop with confidence and enjoy the hobby without worrying about damaged cards and varying condition guides. That’s why I list products individually, with clear photos, and I pack every order like it’s going into my own collection, because I want collectors to be able to buy with certainty that their cards get the same treatment, regardless of whether they’re worth £2000 or £2.
If you ever want extra photos, help choosing between cards, or you’re after something specific, drop me a message through the "Contact" page or the form on the home page — I’ll do my best to sort it.
